Kaufland.de is one of the biggest e-commerce platforms in Germany and runs dozens of A/B tests daily in order to improve the user experience. We can help you to extend your IT knowledge and discover new connections and opportunities. You will gain an insight into a range of different teams and get a chance to be effective from day one by developing internally used applications.

Detail

Your tasks – this is what awaits you in detail

  • You will be helping the Web Analytics horizontal Team in extending and improving an internally developed Browser Extension that facilitates testing and development cycles.
  • The current version of the Extension serves as a bridge between development of A/B testing experiences and QA/preview cycles but is intended to fulfill much more needs within web analytics needs. The tool helps to track, test and visualize these tests for our engineers, product managers and business departments.
  • In order to achieve this, you will reach out to various teams and Product Managers, listen to their needs and requirements in order to improve their day-to-day work. You are free in how to tackle these tasks, either with workshops, direct chats, or weekly catch-ups.
  • You will get the chance to sketch high level implementation plans and get feedback from your peers before you implement these directly to the extension.
  • You will deeply work with our other internal tools, but also directly with customer facing Vue.js applications.
  • Bi-Weekly Jour Fixes will give you the chance to challenge your current state of thesis with peers.
Your profile – this is what we expect from you

  • You are currently completing your bachelor’s or master’s studies in Germany in computer science or similar.
  • You have a good knowledge of JavaScript and beneficially also of the Vue Framework.
  • Ideally you have gathered previous practical experience in the field of computer science and programming.
  • Your excellent English skills make the communication in an international surrounding a matter of course for you. A basic (listening) comprehension of German would be the cherry on the top.
  • As a real teamplayer you love to communicate and connect with your colleagues, additionally you have the drive to continuously develop both yourself and your team further in order to become a little bit better every day.
